Archive for December, 2008

Thank you so much to everyone who took the time and the courage to nominate their friends and family members for the Giving Is Awesome contest.   I felt honored to be able to read these stories and it is with great pride and joy that I will photograph these fabulous people.

I’m off to Aitutaki on Saturday to photograph a wedding…on a lagoon…in the Cook Islands.  Tough job, but….

As we bring in another year I want to take a second to express my deepest gratitude to every family and every person in every family for letting me photograph them this year.  Capturing the love and joy in families is my greatest joy in life.  I am honored with your trust and your appreciation.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.  I am following my heart and my wildest dream, thank you for letting me do that.

Merry, merry, merry Christmas.  And a prosperous, healthy, loving, easy, fun year for 2009.

Again from Paradise.  until then….

This year I am participating in the photographer love fest that is sweeping the nation.  It’s called Giving Is Awesome.
Here’s how you can get involved:
Write me an email telling me about a family that you feel could really use a free family portrait for the holidays this year.  Maybe they’ve been hit by the economic shit storm, maybe they’ve had a shit storm of their own.  Whatever the case: they can’t afford it, they would love it, it just might brighten up their day a little.
Here’s what YOU get for nominating them:  A free portrait session with yours truly.
Here’s what THEY get:  A portrait session and $1000 worth of prints, also from yours truly.

So, get writing and let me know.  I’ll make the choice my December 23rd and will send you an email.

Happy Nominating!

I used to think Hillary was the coolest female I know.
Then I met her daughters.
I’ve known this fabulous family for years and I like them more and more
every day.  They were willing to brave the cold, December air with me
(all in the name of a good photo, of course), but I think the very best
pictures were right there in their cozy, gorgeous home.  Shoulda’
