Lauren and Chris are, by far, some of my favorite friends that I’ve met because I shot their wedding. I admittedly had a couple crush on them from the moment they arrived on the scene at their engagement shoot and it’s been an up hill love affair since. So…when Chris told me that they were pregnant I was in love with their baby already.
I arrived at their new home in Milton, baby Luke snuggled in Chris’ arms and Lauren GLOWING, prettier than ever and happier than I’ve ever seen her, and I was so honored to be able to photograph their new family. Luke is perfect. Lauren and Chris are madly in love. With him, with each other. I couldn’t be happier for all three of them.
Lu was a bridesmaid at one of my favorite girl’s wedding’s this year so when she asked if I’d take photos of her and her family I was pretty dern psyched. She’s gorgeous, fun, down to earth, loyal, kind, and all things lovely and wonderful. Meeting her family made me like her even more. Good, solid, lovely people. I loved the whole fam damily. Did you also know that when you’re 17 months old you’re totally in charge..of everything? Little Stevie was not having a good day on our shoot, but when you’re half as cute as he is, you’re going to look good no matter what.
The apple doesn’t fall far from the shoot…lucky for Sienna and Savannah! Their mama Alicia is just one of those gorgeous, funny as hell, sexy, cool, honest people that everyone likes. It was so wonderful to see her with her girls and how much Sienna is going to be just like her mom. We read books, we played some games, but mostly…we put on make up and played in the mirror. How girly of us!! We had a really fun morning, the girls are amazingly beautiful, and I can’t wait to see them all again.
God knows I hate to play favorites ;), but I think this might be one of my all-time favorite T.Spoon shoots ever. The recipe went something like: INSAAAAAAANELY cute kids, gorgeous parents, a killer house, a zillion acre farm, peak foliage in New Hampshire, lots of playing!!!, lots of adventure!!!, lots of ‘doing stuff’ and running around!!…and the mom is an old friend of mine. C’mon. I’m almost cheating. OK, totally cheating.
This was too good. Look at these kids, please. What? Are they real? And the day was perfect, we all had fun, tons of giggles. I don’t even know what else to say. How’s about we look at some pictures?
Ahn and Mike, thank you so much for having me up, for feeding me spaghetti and beer and cookies, and for letting me hang out with your family. All my love to you all.
I was in J and C’s life when they were a city-dwelling, fast-movin’ couple so this shoot was especially nice for me because I got to see them as parents. Of three boys! I LOVE that she’s had three boys and it was just magical to see her with them. She’s super low key, easy to laugh, low on judgment, super smart, gorgeous, and lovely in every way. I have really loved her since the moment we met 7 years ago. While I was editing this shoot I got choked up a few different times… ya know how it is: you see someone you really love in a whole new part of their life and you’re just swelled up with happiness and pride. It was like ‘dat.
Anyway, the shoot was a blast. Lots of giggles, lots of running around, lots of soccer, and reading books. Their family is gorgeous and happy and growing. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone else. What a lucky crew this is.
Enjoy. Love. Thank you.
I was greeted at the front door of the Romeo house by four little pumpkin girls, each dressed more stylish and hip than I was, or ever had been. Nora Jones was playing softly in the background, and Jason had just finished making pumpkin pancakes. It was a Sunday morning in New England during the early Fall. Us New Englanders put up with 10 months of the awful weather just so we can have 6 weeks of Autumn. And this was Autumn at her finest. I’d also venture to guess that people have families with the slight hope that they could have kids like Charlotte, Lucy, Ellie, and Grace. This is the kindof shoot that spoils children photographers. The girls were gorgeous, sweet, patient, fun, and constantly looked directly into my lens with a pensive and sweet expression. What? Is this happening. I could have put my camera on a timer, walked away, devoured those pancakes, and come back to gorgeous photographs.
We went to a pumpkin/apple/cider heavenly place in Bolton, then off to a gorgeous park in the woods. It might have been the best day of my life. I mean, besides Burning Man. 😉
Kathy and Jason are wonderful people so they make killer parents. They’re patient, kind, funny, self deprecating, and committed to their family and children. Honestly, the morning with this family fed my soul. Who says that? I guess I just did.
Thank you. Love. Enjoy.
