sighhhhh….Sometimes I don’t know how to start these posts because I don’t know what to say, other times I don’t know where I’ll stop. Everything I’m about to write is going to sound like hyperbolic gushing and I. don’t. care.
There is no family like the Romeos. Not one I’ve seen, at least. I’ve known Kathy, the matriarch of this pantheon for over 20 years. I know her parents and her brother, I know her first love and her oldest friends. This chick is a solid, loyal, kind, funny, cool, talented, creative, generous woman and she has been this way since the day she was born, I’m certain. To see the life she’s created is both amazing and no surprise at all. She married Jason who’s cool, confident, hilarious, and fair. Together Kathy and Jason are raising Grace, Ellie, Charlotte, and Lucy to be funny and smart, confident and kind, respectful and playful. This is the second time I’ve been able to photograph this family (the first shoot is HERE) and both times I’ve driven away from there home in tears of gratitude. I’m so grateful for my life and my time spent with families like this. There is nothing more fulfilling, for me, than spending time learning from little kids like this and seeing old friends so very happy and so grateful themselves.
The Romeos just moved into a big ol’ beautiful home, and all four girls were standing at the door as I drove in. 🙂 We ran around their backyard where I showed them how to run around like a crazy monster, and then we went to an apple orchard because that’s whatchya do in Bolton in October. The girls are so beautiful and so very kind to each other, they’re truly best friends. Another year of being filled up nice by Kathy, Jay, Grace, Ellie, Charlotte, and Small Lucy.
