Back to photograph THIS super cute family. Love these guys, love their house, love their mom and dad. It’s been two years since I’ve been here. Their first shoot is to die for (and you can see their sick house HERE).
The boys are bigger now and like the high energy photographer way less. 🙂 Tis the season.
Anyhooo… this is what I saw:
Thank you. Enjoy. Love.
Not a tough gig this one was. Both Jen and Brandon are old friends of mine, they live in a super gorgeous loft that I wish I lived in, they’re crazy gorgeous, and their kids are amazingly cute. I brought my camera, we walked around, it was amazing.
I must say that Jen is mother extraordinaire: she is the owner of Mama’s Boy brand clothing and her creativity and style is limitless, as is her kindness and love. Brandon is such a good dad..it’s so cool to watch a guy go from bachelor status to husband to dad. Makes me smile. Big. Kieran and Emma are absolutely delicious and I loved every second of being with this family.
Here’s what I saw:
Soooo…. Stephen and Caroline made some sort of wind-up doll/mini me when they made Grace. Small humans grow sooo much in their first year here on earth so to see Grace after a year was spectacular. You have to check out Grace’s newborn shoot right HERE and then come back and look at her at a year old. She’s so adorable I almost can’t breathe and all she does is laugh and giggle, play with leaves, and mimic her grandmother’s absolutely hilarious facial expressions. Both times I’ve spent time with this family I’ve driven away with such a grin. Grace’s exuberance towards life is so deliciously contagious. Way to go, Grace. The world needs more girls like y’self.
Love to all of you. Thank you deeply for your trust. Your taste is so damn good I’m so honored that you like my work. thank you. 🙂
Every time I post a shoot of Kate’s family I am supremely tempted to post a bunch of photos of us from middle school. I then remember that Kate does things like ‘respect herself’ and ‘gets embarrassed’. Braces, bangs, and baby fat are kinda awkward in retrospect in spite of the fact that she was widely accepted as a pretty chick. Aaaanyway….
Kate has been one of my best friends since we were 11 years old. She has been nothing but the most loyal and kind and encouraging person in my life. I love her and her family as if they were my own and I would do anything I could to help these five people out. I am confident this feeling is mutual and I will forever marvel at the beauty of true, selfless friendship. My friends, as you can imagine, are my life, and Kate has been an anchor and a pillar and every other cheese bag metaphor for a trustworthy friend.
I photograph these guys every year and it might be super fun for you to check them out through the years. It’s super sweet to watch them grow up through these photos:
Here is 2008, Here and Here are 2009, here is 2010, and here is 2011 in a final shoot in their former home.
This shoot, in particular, has really shown me how much this family is growing up. Time flies, I suppose. Sure glad I have a camera.
What can I say? Thank you, thank you, thank you. I love you so so so so much.
Musta picked these peeps up at The Cute Factory. Come to think of it I could have also found them at the Cool Factory, or the Smart one. Ya, this is a great family and I really, really liked them. Megan and Peter went to law school with a couple of my favorite clients turned friends so when Pete called and dropped their names I loved’m already. Meeting he and Megan in person just confirmed my hunch. I love to meet young families who are raising their kids in the city because it’s the opposite of how or where I grew up and it would be so cool to be a kid livin’ in the city. It seems to be an easy recipe for raising smart and interesting people. Anyway, I chased these four around the Navy Yard in Charlestown on a beautiful Sunday morning in October and this is what I saw.
Thank you. Enjoy. Love.
