Some days I drive away from a shoot and I’m truly overwhelmed with gratitude. This was one of those shoots. This absolutely gorgeous family is so full of personality and hilarious sweetness I could have stayed all day (week). As I drove away, Georgia chased my rental car with three sticky notes. One said “I love Tara soo..” The other one said “oooooooooooooooo” and the last one said “ooooo much!”.
I will keep those notes forever and smile every time I stumble across them. Sortof like a great photograph in a shoebox.
Ain’t life sweet?
Thank you, Sarah. Huge love to you and your family. You’re the best.
YO! Erin, the mama of the crew, and I met on our study abroad program in Australia when we were in college. The rest is surely history. We’re sortof the original partners in crime and we surely got ourselves into plenty of trouble. Fast forward many years and she’s a successful Microsoft ad sales master and a mother of two, and a great wife. Her and her husband, Matt, and her two smalls Emily and Ava live in their Mill Valley home happily and healthfully and all is very well. It’s always particularly special to see my old friends as mothers. If hearts actually smile then that’s what does it for me.
Thank you for all your love and support, Erin. It truly means the world. Love.
Yay! I’m back in the San Francisco area so I can see the cutest family!! And they’ve grown! Welcome to earth, Will! Will brings lots of boyish cuteness and coordination to the Kroeker family and he gives Heidi and Andrew the cutest little brother ever. I was at their home three years ago so you can see how they’ve grown HERE
Thank you so much Chi and Karl and your smalls. It was so great to see you all. LOVE!
Ring, ring, is San Francisco in November there? Oh, it is? Oh, ok cool because it’s AMAAAAZING there then! SF in July? Stab me. SF in November? Hold me. So, Parsons and her family and I met on Stinson Beach in Marin County, just north of San Francisco. I’d say that if you’ve ever been to SF you’ve probably ventured over the Golden Gate Bridge and gone to Stinson Beach or/and Mt. Tam. If you haven’t, ask for a plane ticket for Christmas and do yourself a favor. Ya, so anyway… this is the nicest family on the planet. Extremely kind and sweet and cool kids, a ridiculously cool, low key set of parents…aaaaand really low tide and bird chasing. Can you imagine how out of my mind psyched I was? Dude? Been to Boston in November? And there I was chasing birds on an 80 degree day on Stinson Beach with kids who literally said to me, ‘Tara, can I admit something to you? I was not looking forward to this at all, but you have made it so much fun.” I toss that one around in my head when I’m feeling down. I love nice kids. Nice parents make nice kids. 🙂
Thank you guys. YOU made it fun, I just took pictures. Huge love. I’ll see you next year. 🙂
Booya, I was able to photograph Heather and her Smalls yet again, but this time on her own turf in the East Bay. I met up with her at her adorable children’s store called Monkey Bars in Alameda, CA. From there we chased the falling light around beautiful Alameda and caught the very last of it. Thank you, Lovely. Love.
Look at me, I’m Super Cool Family with a San Francisco vibe living in Massachusetts. Score. What a ridiculously cool family these guys are. They live on a lake in Wayland and spend most of their time down on the dock, though their home is this super cute bungalow. You’d love it. 🙂 The morning I went over there in early October the fog was heavy on the lake and just clearing as we shot. We got lots of misty fog burning shots and I absolutely loved every second. Here ya go. Enjoy. Thank you. Love! 🙂
