This adorable, ultra humble, really sweet, super smart, wicked funny family has had me over to photograph them for three years running! How insanely lucky am I!? And they let me just come in and follow them around and do our thing. There’s nothing posed or forced or fake so in turn their photographs are hilaaaaarious and candid and real. They’ll look back at these photos and time travel in twenty years. Not because I do anything special, but because they don’t force something that isn’t. Which is what makes a great photograph, right? Are your favorite photographs the ones at Sears (possibly because they’re hilarious) or the ones of you in your favorite shirt that one summer you never took it off? Or in the Capili family’s case, trying on their *epic* halloween costumes and losing themselves in their imagination. This family is absolutely fucking rad. I’m the luckiest photographer in the world to call them friends. Honestly. Please enjoy Allan, Sharon, and their sons Ryan (skeleton knight) and Marcus (fire breathing red dragon).
If you’ve followed me for a bit you know that I love my job more than I could have ever imagined. And I love when people love photography and see it’s incredible value, it’s time capsule nature, and how when it’s all said and done a photograph will be indistinguishable from the truth of our lives. We photographed Cory and George’s wedding four years ago, and it was *truly* awesome to see them again and to meet Tyler, their son. Their beautiful, ultra sweet little boy. I spent some time with them capturing what love in a family looks like. I love this family so very much, and it’s an honor to be trusted to document them and their lives. Their love.
Are you ready to cheer for a one year old? Delaney is *actually* the cutest, sweetest little thing ever! Nicole, Delaney’s mom, waited for me to arrive to put her in her tutu (kill me with cuteness) and set up the birthday cake station. Delaney loves cake! Me, too! I hope you thoroughly enjoy this absolutely ADORABLE little girl! I cheered the whole shoot…and the whole edit. And I’m cheering right now. Go Delaney!
Bunch ah’ Lucky Ducks ovah heeh in the Giangrasso Family. A beautiful home full of gorgeous, giggly, high energy girls, and their beautiful mom and dad. Life is good. I was lucky enough to cross paths with Kim at yoga class and the rest is history. Enjoy this beautiful family!
And then there were four! One of my all time favorite couples has built an absolutely adorable family! Max is too young to know for sure (but I am sure), but Lila is JUST like her parents: smart, hilarious, independent, kind, and fun. And I have to comment on the incredible loyalty and support Chris and Paula show to me. I have photographed them so much over the years since their wedding (2009, I believe!) and I madly enjoy calling both of these people friends of mine. Paula and I text each other and I’m pretty sure they’re always the smartest, funniest pieces of writing I read all day. And I think she’s my favorite person to follow on Facebook. Anyway… we also have truly the very best photography karma. Every single time we have a shoot it’s the nicest day of the year. So, here we are: The best family of four since yours. 🙂 Enjoy this beautiful family and feel good that they’re all really nice, really smart, and really funny. My friends are the best. 🙂
Whoop Whoop! First off, how cute are the names Kennedy and Sullivan!? And to add to the love of this family, the dad, Allin, is my boyfriend’s twin brother. Also whoop whoop!
Lorraine and Allin love their kids so much it just makes me feel so happy for all four of them every time I spend time with these guys. Their favorite vacations are in a tent in the woods, their favorite place to be is together, and I see the pure life giving joy being part of a family gives to Lorraine and Allin. Kennedy is such a beauty I’m almost scared for them, and Sully’s little perm a smile is gonna charm the way his dad did, no doubt! I’m so super happy to call these guys friends of mine, and I love that our paths have crossed. Thank you both for letting me photograph you and show you what you look like when you’re surrounded by love!
Aww man, I love life. Ben and I photographed Pam and Chris’ insaaanely rad wedding in 2011(and more importantly we were *invited* to their bachelor/bachelorette party weekend in Stow!!) and we’ve all kept in touch since. Sometimes it just works that way; we meet our friends at work. 🙂 Well, just as soon as they were hitched they moved West… as ya should. They now call the mountains of Colorado home (bites fist in envy) and a year-ish ago they brought little Dylan into the world. Dylan is…. adorable. And pretty rock and roll, if I can say that about an infant, and Pam and Chris are madly, head over heels in love with their son. The bad ass family was home visiting Pam’s parents on the beach in Swampscott so I went over for a beer, some gummy bears, and a photo shoot. Thanks, Colorado! 😉
Pam and Chris, your friendship means so much to me, and seeing your beautiful family grow, and your lives just get more beautiful is a real honor. Thank you for taking me along. LOVE!
