Jeanne asked her dad for a pony when she was 6 years old. Like most of us that request was not granted...so fifty some years later she bought one herself. Rockin! I went up to where Rudy, the horse, lives in Kensington, New Hampshire and photographed Jeanne and Rudy....and her newly adopted puppy, Novi. The day was absolutely gorgeous and we had a blast.
Another tough day at the office....thank you. Enjoy. Love.

I absolutely love that I've somehow found myself lucky enough to photograph people with their horses. What truly remarkable animals they are; bigger than life, absolutely stunning, insanely strong while being incredibly gentle. Horses rock.
Lauren had me out to Boxborough to photograph her and her horse, Toro. They're such great friends and have so much fun together. It's so super sweet. Enjoy.

How insanely adorable is this family?! I can't stand it!! Little Eva is a DOLL and her parents, grandparents, and uncle (and puppies) are just as cute and sweet. We ran around Castle Island on a cold and windy November day, but an energetic and gorgeous grandma kept everyone smiling. I made poor pregnant Kristen run loops around me with her cute little dachsunds before I had her and her family roll around in the leaves. Needless to say they're not only a gorgeous family, but a fun and loving and awesome one, too.
How lucky am I?
Enjoy.

I love photographing families that come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. I especially love families that roll around on dead birds and chew hay.
It was my second time on the farm with Julia and Stephen. Their family has grown and changed since the Fall. Hersey, the fabulous, beloved dog I met last year, passed this Spring. I'm so glad that he has a 20"x30" portrait on their living room walls to immortalize him forever.
Stephen and Winslow took a trot, I met Louie, the new barn kitty, and of course I met Halle, their new rescued Lab. Plenty o' dog for Jackson, the white Lab, to harass and chase.
Here are some of my favorites from this shoot, and pictures of the wall galleries that hang in their home from last year's shoot.
Enjoy!

This is what may be referred to as a photographer's dream: Peak foliage in New England on one of those October days where you swear you live in the prettiest place on earth...then you get to a farm with prize horses and super sweet dogs and a great couple, and then you know for sure.
You ARE in the prettiest place on earth.
The love that Julia and Stephen have for these animals gives me faith in the human race. It was so wonderful to watch, and I'm so excited to be able to give them these photos.
Enjoy.
