One of my favorite beautiful phenomenons of life is that it (life) just keeps getting better..for everyone.. always. The best is yet to come ALWAYS! Life is so rad.
Katie and her sons, Garrett and Griffin, went through a super hard time a few years ago, and I bet there were times she wondered how she’d get through. Fast forward just a few years, she and her new wonderful man have a brand spankin new son, Michael, and they’re scheduled to be married in a year. Life could NOT be better for these guys, and I couldn’t be happier for them. The best is yet to come, everyone. For all of us!
Josh and Lindsey will go down as one of my all time favorite couples to work with. I was lucky enough to photograph their wedding on Martha’s Vineyard (which got published in Martha’s Vineyard Weddings magazine which is always fun and cool), then I was able to go over to their beautiful new home and photograph them when they were expecting their first baby. Recently I was really REALLY lucky and got to photograph Lindsey and Josh in their first couple days as parents to the perfect and very lucky, Vivian. This post is both their maternity shoot and Vivian’s first photo shoot.
I love this family. They make everyone they love feel like family. There’s not a better gift to give the world. Good luck, guys. I love you very much. THANK YOU!!
Marilyn was due with twins, a boy and a girl, on November 4th, 2014. But almost four months early, Jeremiah and Elizabeth were born on July 24th, 2014 at a hospital in Boston.
Marilyn tells me that Jeremiah was the sweetest, chillest little guy. At not even two pounds he was pure gentle love. Elizabeth, Lizzy, was feisty and strong, a fighter from the first breath.
Some lives are 100 years, some are 35 years, others are 12 years, and some lives are nine days long. I do not pretend to understand it, but it is something we have to trust. In just nine days, Jeremiah taught his strong, resilient, kind mama just how wonderful a man could be. His life has opened his mother’s heart not to break it, but to expand it infinitely in a tender, loving, gentle way. Sometimes lives are nine days long.
Lizzy, on the other hand, is weighing in at the chub club at a whopping 7 pounds. And if you’ve never seen a living chocolate chip you’re about to. Lizzy is my idol. Well, Marilyn is, but Lizzy is the side kick all my idols have. She’s feisty and strong, determined and adorable, and her toes are wicked cute and I want to shove them all in my mouth and eat her whole. And she already has great hair.
I hung out with Marilyn and Lizzy at the NICU at Beth Israel Hospital for a bit. Lizzy will be coming home in a couple weeks. I assume we’ll be cheering her on in her amazing, beautiful, and long life. Right alongside her mama.
Marilyn, it was a pleasure and an honor to be there for you and your daughter. You are a strong, beautiful, kind soul and you are SURROUNDED by love. The best is yet to come, my friend. THE BEST IS YET TO COME!!!!!! YOU ARE LOVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GAHHHH!! Eve is SO CUTE!! Little Eve was only a few days old when I met her. Shannon and Aldo are already great, chill, cool, hilarious parents and Eve is one of the luckiest girls in the world. Take a peek! Yay!! LOVE! GOOD LUCK!!
I have had the *GREAT* pleasure of being able to photograph Abbie and Ryan in some of their happiest recent times (namely engagement and marriage!) and it I was soooo insanely stoked when they told me that Willow, their daughter, had arrived. I love Abbie and Ryan like a mix of family and dear friends. I could not be happier for them.. or for Willow. She is the luckiest girl in the world destined for a life of greatness: beauty, wit, brains, and love. Fuck ya. That’s so awesome. Good luck, guys. I hope to see you SOON! I LOVE YOU!
Oh, look at the cute little Irish Italian Bostonon kid. Wicked cute. Hudson is so adorable and his parents, my friend Niki and her wonderful fiancee John, are madly in love (with him an each other). I spent some time with them in Hudson’s first week of life, and Niki and John are naturals at this. Their home is full of love and everyone is ready for this journey; their hearts have exploded in love. I love that. 🙂
Baby Isaac loves summertime. Which is why he arrived in May rather than the previously scheduled August. He arrived three months early and scared the bejesus out of his parents…we’ll remind him of this when he’s 6’4″ and on the basketball court. I have photographed Joanna and Dean’s engagement, wedding, and many of their friends and families weddings so I sortof feel part of the family. When I heard about Isaac arriving early I begged Joanna to let me hang out with them one afternoon on her daily visit to the NICU at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Here’s what I saw.
Isaac, by the way, went home to Arlington today with his parents (July 8th, 2014). He was born at three pounds and is leaving the hospital at 5.5 pounds. (faint sound of a roaring crowd). He’s a champ, no surprise here.
I LOVE YOU GUYS SO MUCH!!! GOOD LUCK!! HAVE FUN! YAAAAAAY!!!!!!!!!!
woot woot, there’s a new person in the world! And a little love snuggle love bug at that. Leop came into the world in early November and his mom and pop could not be more in love. They live in Duxbury, but really they’ve been rocketed to the moon with their love. AIn’t love grand? Life is good. I’m so happy for this new, adorable, gorgeous, blue eyed beauty family.
Good luck, guys. Love. Thank you. xoxo
Yo! Baby Theo is here. I know, he’s early. Like really early. He was excited, what can he say? He knew he was going to be super smart, successful, and handsome so he was all, ‘let’s just get started!’. So now, three months later, he’s doing well, growin, laughin, and lovin his mom and dad.
Congratulations to Kat, Alex, and Theo. For their new family and for all the excitement ahead. Best of luck and love to all three of you.
Welp, Emma arrived and we weren’t ready at all! Joe and Jenn just bought a killer new place and they swore they had two whole weeks to do things like..unpack a single box after they moved here from California. Not so much. Emma wanted to meet her parents. Can’t blame her since they’re awesome.
So, ya… Emma is here. Joe and Jenn and Emma are unpacking boxes and Bailey is wondering who the really small and beautiful and perfect Chinese person is who just showed up out of nowhere.
Here’s what I saw.
Good luck, guys. I love you so.
