Welp, Emma arrived and we weren’t ready at all! Joe and Jenn just bought a killer new place and they swore they had two whole weeks to do things like..unpack a single box after they moved here from California. Not so much. Emma wanted to meet her parents. Can’t blame her since they’re awesome.
So, ya… Emma is here. Joe and Jenn and Emma are unpacking boxes and Bailey is wondering who the really small and beautiful and perfect Chinese person is who just showed up out of nowhere.
Here’s what I saw.
Good luck, guys. I love you so.
Cole is pretty new to the world, but he has the best mom ever so he’s gonna be great. Heather, Cole’s mom, is my yoga teacher and I love her very, very much. She’s kind and extremely funny, she’s cool and generous, self deprecating and generous. She’s just my kind of girl. And she’s a really, really good yoga teacher, if I must say. Cole needs her more than our yoga studio does right now, but she’ll be back with us soon. This makes me very, very happy. Welcome to the world, Cole. You’re gonna be great.
Alex is one lucky little half Cuban kid. I’ve been very good friends with his mama for most of our lives and I feel in friend love with his pops the second I met him. Kelly and Juan welcomed Alex into the world on Valentines Day this year. It’s always especially awesome when I see a dear friend become a mama and this was no exception. She and Juan are naturals because they’re smart and funny and cool and loving. I have all the confidence in the world that Alex will be the very same.
Enjoy. Thank you. Love
Love me some Armstrong family, I do. Krissy and Nick and Sophie welcomed their newest little one, Mary Kate, a few days before Christmas this year and good lohhhd is she sweet. I wonder if I’ll ever get used to how damn small we are when we first arrive. I’ve been able to photograph this family over the years and it’s been so awesome to get to know them. They are kind and strong and positive and deeply in love. It’s an absolute honor to even spend a moment with them, never mind photograph them. Every time I see an email from Krissy I’m excited. It’s just that simple. Here’s what I saw this time. 🙂 Enjoy. Thank you. Love
What’s happening in the world that this family gets to be MORE lovely?! Gawwwwwd bless it, I love these guys. OK, so we photographed Liz and Todd’s wedding in 2009 and pretty much fell madly in love with both of them. One look at them and you won’t be far behind, I promise. Then they went ahead and made a cherub and named her Caroline. That post is right HERE. This summer they went ahead and made Grant and added him to the mix and things are just getting more and more sweet. Gahhh, Todd is sooo funny and cool, he’s a surgeon, he’s self deprecating, honest, hilarious, gorgeous, kind, and loyal. And he’s madly in love with his family. 🙂 Liz? Don’t even start me. Liz fully looks like a super model, but she’s also hilarious, cool as hell, super funny, way smart…and Todd’s boss at Mass General. 🙂
Caroline looks like a doll and she’s just getting used to this Grant kid. I can’t wait to see them all again. Fall in love for y’selves:
Another Wonder Child has arrived in Milton. And it’s no wonder he’s been born into the Addesa family: officially one of my favorite families everrrr. Luke is doing a great job as big brother. And by great job I mean, of course, that he’s wondering how long this Sam dude will be hanging around. And it sure *seems* that Luke is hugging Sam so if he squeezes just a lil harder is that still officially a hug? 😉
Chris and Lauren are doing so well as they settle into their family of four. I hope to see them again soon. We all try to make up reasons for me to photograph anything they do. I’m a lucky kid, what can I say.
Thank you. I love you. Enjoy.
Lil Bruno arrived in February to one of my favorite couples-gone-parents evah. I met Juliana and Oscar a few years ago when they nominated their friends for a Giving Is Awesome contest I ran years ago. From there I have photographed them as a couple, then expecting, and now parents. Bruno is absolutely adorable and just what dreams are made of. So, he doesn’t sleep a TON. He’ll get there. They always do. 😉
Good luck. Have fun. Hang in there. xoxo
Some Smalls have all the luck. Remember where you heard this first: Ayla Soucy will be a hilarious, hard working, smart, beautiful, generous, kind, quietly confident, low key, and deeply loved human being. There’s no way around it with parents like hers. Mark and Jamie are two of my favorite people I’ve met along this photography path, and I’m absolutely honored to be welcomed into their home to photograph their lives.
So much love to you over there in Ayer. I’ll see you again soon, no doubt.
love. thank you. enjoy.
Hooty hoo, Collyns is here and she’s wrapped in some serious love! When I was there for a visit in OshKosh, Wisconsin, Collyns was the center of a love fest that included her *entire* family…grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles, and so on. Lucky little bug she is! Maureen, Brad, and Collyns have everything they need for a life full of love, happiness, family, laughter, great memories, and great friends. I have no doubt they’ll achieve this and then some. It was such a treat to be able to spend time with such a sweet bunch. Such proud parents, such happiness, such love. Awesome sauce.
Thank you. Enjoy. Love.
Ding ding, there’s a new person on the planet! And she’s cuuuuuute. And she’s way lucky and way loved and way small! Her name is Kayla, you don’t know her yet but when you meet her you’ll fall in love. obv. Her parents are some of my favorite full grown humans ever. They’re both incredibly kind and gentle and loving, sincere and hard working, generous and funny, gorgeous and honest. And they found one another and made a person. psssshhhh, life rocks.
Enjoy. Love. Thank you.
