Man, it is soooo special to be invited into people's homes when they're just bringing home their child.  I can literally feel the emotion in the room and I can see that new parents are utterly crushed with love.  I love that.  And watching Jimmy, who is a very cool headed doctor/entrepreneur fall madly in love with his daughter every second absolutely broke my heart wide open.  Anna's awesome mom was in from North Carolina to help out, and when she started singing old Puerto Rican (where they're from) lullabies to Mari, there was not a dry eye in the house.  Welcome to the world, Mari.  You are crushed with love.
Thank you Anna Lee and Jimmy for trusting me and inviting me to document your lives.  It's an honor and i love you.  Congratulations.

Elizabeth and Matt are one of my all time favorite couples from Hitched Studios.  So, when they asked me to travel to the Big Apple to photograph them with their gorgeous new daughter, Madeline, I was on the next train.   There they were, my clients turned friends, doing so well working their way through this absolutely unknown territory of new parents!  HOLY SHIT!!  That's what I always think when I leave a first baby newborn shoot.  Like, where is the owners manual on this thing?  Not like you'd have time to read it, but it would be nice as a reference, ya know?  Ya, Madeline is like BEYOND gorgeous.. obviously, and Elizabeth and Matt are doing a really awesome job as brand new parents.  It was a beautiful way to spend a day, and I love this family so very much.  Thank you guys SO MUCH for allowing me to photograph your one beautiful and precious life.  It means so so so much to me that you trust me like this.  I love you guys. Thank you. GOOD LUCK!!

Kristin and Jamie made Baby Wynne, and honestly?  We're all lucky for that.  Kristin and Jamie are THE COOLEST, most fun, nicest, most welcoming, absolutely lovely in every. single. way. couple, and Wynne is the luckiest baby in the land.  Wynne was about a week old during this shoot, and I just stepped back and watched my friends who were brand new parents figuring it out, do their thing.  It was a total honor.    I love you guys SO MUCH!!  Thank you so much for letting me come over.  Love!

One of my favorite beautiful phenomenons of life is that it (life) just keeps getting better..for everyone.. always.  The best is yet to come ALWAYS!  Life is so rad.
Katie and her sons, Garrett and Griffin,  went through a super hard time a few years ago, and I bet there were times she wondered how she'd get through.  Fast forward just a few years, she and her new wonderful man have a brand spankin new son, Michael, and they're scheduled to be married in a year.  Life could NOT be better for these guys, and I couldn't be happier for them.  The best is yet to come, everyone.  For all of us!

Josh and Lindsey will go down as one of my all time favorite couples to work with.  I was lucky enough to photograph their wedding on Martha's Vineyard (which got published in Martha's Vineyard Weddings magazine which is always fun and cool), then I was able to go over to their beautiful new home and photograph them when they were expecting their first baby.  Recently I was really REALLY lucky and got to photograph Lindsey and Josh in their first couple days as parents to the perfect and very lucky, Vivian.   This post is both their maternity shoot and Vivian's first photo shoot.
I love this family.  They make everyone they love feel like family.  There's not a better gift to give the world.  Good luck, guys.  I love you very much.  THANK YOU!!
