Thank you so much for visiting my website. Glad you're here.

There are a ton of great families and beautiful people on this website. Stay a while, come back often. :)

I have been celebrating the people I love with photography since my mom gave me my first camera for my 14th birthday. I used to set up elaborate photo shoots with my best friends to show them how beautiful they were. As I stumbled my way through my young life I never thought being a professional photographer was within my grasp. I assumed it was a dream career only the chosen few got access to. When my personal training clients all pitched in to buy me my first digital camera when I was 29 I realized then that I could make my dream of becoming a professional photographer come true with wedding, family, and portrait photography. I applied and got into New England School of Photography (NESOP), but strapped in school loan debt I couldn't figure out a way to make it happen financially. One day, a very generous and kind personal training client of mine pulled me aside after our session and told me she'd like to pay for me to go to photography school. Her exact quote was, 'I've had lots of breaks in my life and I'm going to give you one." She gave me $30,000 and let me live with her while I went through photography school. This woman changed my life with her unparalleled generosity and kindness and I'm forever in awe of what she did for another human being. She still tells me that I’m one of the best investment she's ever made. Nice people say shit like that. :)

Around the time I was learning the art of photography the same friends who were my muse when we were 14 were now starting families of their own. I practiced my craft, and fulfilled assignments, by photographing my friends and their children candidly in their homes. That's how and why I started photographing families in the style I do. And so T.Spoon Photography was born, my candid family photography business, named after my childhood nickname from my dad.

The day after graduation from NESOP my best friend, Ben Wight, and I shot our first wedding. We started Hitched Studios, our wedding photography company, that very same day in June 2007. We had an incredible run with Hitched Studios, won Best of Boston in 2011, and photographed hundreds of absolutely beautiful people all over the world. Ben runs Hitched Studios still today. I am now focusing on smaller, more intimate weddings and elopements.

And here we are with Tara Morris Images: all my photography under one big roof.

I hope you'll reach out so we can work together so I can show you how beautiful you are when you’re surrounded by love.

Thank you again for visiting. Enjoy!

Love,

Tara
